Install a rainwater harvest system to collect, store, and distribute rainwater for use by the Umm el-Jimal community and the new Heritage Site as a Jordan National Park. Rotary Grant GG1980200. Project is one year. Additional work to expand the operation of the Heritage Site will require additional funding beyond the current project. The Rotary Project involves the Calvin College Clean Water Institute. The Project Director is Professor Bert DeVries a senior Archeologist for Calvin College. The Heritage Site in Umm el-Jimal opened in June 2019. The grant funded ancient rain harvested system will be operational in December 2019.
