Project / Ongutoi Health Centre Water Collection for Sustainability
Ongutoi Health Center in Uganda serves between 750 and 1,000 patients per month. Services provided free of charge and 100 percent donor supported through High Adventure Ministries. The goal is to achieve sustainability for the Health Centre through an orange orchard with drip irrigation from a water collection system. The water is collected during the two rainy seasons providing water for the fruit orchard with sales revenue to support the the Health Centre, and the operation of the water collection system. Revenue will be generated by selling fruit to a recently opened fruit processing factory 30 minutes away from the Health Center.
