Project / Improving Student Lives’: A WASH & Education Project in The Dominican Republic

Rotary’s project invests in abundant clean water and bathroom facilities at identified local schools. The project educates students, teachers, school staff and parents in water resource management, in best practices for personal hygiene and in the necessary maintenance of water systems and bathrooms. Complimenting the WASH project is an education-based project through World Vision, an international humanitarian organization. to strengthen academic outcomes for children through literacy and reading and to ensure children are nurtured. World Vision will partner with the local school systems meeting standards set by the Dominican Republic Ministry of Education.
