Project / Secli-Wenji -WASH-Health, Hunger, and Education
The project for the village of Secli-Wendji within the Democratic Republic of Congo has the three objectives of health, hunger and education while also achieving the WASH objectives. Secli-Wendji is part of the commune of MBandaka in the Province of Equateur of the Congo. The project is to provode 1. 200 school desks, 2. supply of reusable sanitary napkins, 3. potable water supply for the children, 4. construction of a sanitary block (toilets-showers-washhouse and 5. an agricultural project to provide the youth with the tools to use for a fertile ground for local crop production. The village will be trained to sustain the maintenance and follow-up for the agricultural coop. The local Rotary Club of Ekanga-Mbandaka in collaboration with Action for the Development of Youth of Congo (ADAJ-Congo).
