On September 14, 2017, an international symposium organized by the Israel Rotary District's Water and Sanitation Committee, chaired by WASRAG Ambassador PDG Avner Fuchs, will focus on the Global Water and Sanitation Crisis - Alleviation by Education and Training. 
Next to this symposium will be the Rotary Hands Across Water Cross Culture Education program, where exceptional students will present their innovative solutions to the global water crisis.   
On September 14th, 2017 from 09.00 through 15.00 a WASH event will be held in Tel Aviv, in the framework of WATEC 2017. WATEC is one of the largest and most important international WASH fair, and visitors from all over the world - including Rotarians - come to learn about the latest developments in water and sanitation technologies and solutions.  
The Rotary event will have two parts:
The first is an international symposium organized by Israel Rotary District`s Water and Sanitation Committee, chaired by WASRAG  Ambassador PDG Avner Fuchs, and it will focus on:
Global Water and Sanitation Crisis- Alleviation by Education and Training
Speakers will include Nobel Laureate Professor Dan Shechtman; Professor Laster, an expert on environmental law; Professor  Avner Adin, Chair of Adin Holdings; Mr  Eli Ronen, past Chairman of Mekorot, the Israeli National Water Company; and many more personalities and experts involved in the effective address of Water and Sanitation challenges in Israel and the role of civil awareness and education in this regard.  This symposium will be run by Rotarian Michael Pascal, a well-known water expert
Next to the symposium the Rotary Hands Across Water Cross Culture Education program (a notable Global Grant) will host excelling young students from school programs, who will visit the exhibition and present their innovative solution ideas to global and local water challenges
